Group Life and Group AD&D Insurance

Basic Life and Basic AD&D Insurance:

Eligible employees are automatically enrolled for company-paid Basic Life and Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance through MetLife Group Life Insurance. Life insurance pays a benefit to your beneficiary in the event of your death.  AD&D insurance provides an additional benefit to you or your beneficiary in the event of certain accidental losses or death.

Supplemental Life and Supplemental AD&D Insurance:

In addition to your basic life and basic AD&D insurance, which is paid for by Veolia, you can also purchase supplemental life and supplemental AD&D coverage for yourself, your spouse, and/or your dependent children. You cannot be covered as both an employee and a dependent.

*Note:  If you are represented by a bargaining unit, you may not be eligible for the benefits described above. Please refer to your union contract, which identifies any VNA benefits for which you may be eligible.

 

Age Reduction Schedule:

Starting January 1, 2024, once you reach the specified age below, the benefit amount will be reduced to the following percentage:

Age 65-69 – benefit reduces to 65%

Age 70+ – benefit reduces to 45%
