What Happens to My Benefits if I Leave Veolia?

Overview: 

Medical, Dental Vision: (If enrolled)

  • Coverage will continue through the last day of the month in which your separation occurs.  
  • You will be offered continuation of coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of COBRA.  
  • A COBRA notification letter from Wex will be mailed within 30 days of your separation date.  
  • COBRA coverage will be effective the first of the month following the month of separation, pending your COBRA election and receipt of your COBRA premium payment. 

Flexible Spending Accounts – Health, Limited Purpose, and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Details: (If enrolled)

  • Coverage ends as of your termination date.  
  • You have 90 days to submit eligible claims incurred through your termination date. 
  • You may elect to continue participation in the Health FSA on an after-tax basis through COBRA until the end of the current plan year. 

Health Savings Account (HSA) Details: (If enrolled)

  • You may transfer your HSA from Fidelity to a new HSA custodian – request an HSA transfer form from your new HSA custodian.  
  • An account transfer may take 4 to 6 weeks to process, as some banks have a 30-day window to release funds before mailing the check.  
  • If you do not transfer your HSA funds, your account will be converted to an individual account at Fidelity with an administration fee deducted from your account each month.

Eligibility: 

  • COBRA continuation coverage is offered to employees who are enrolled in Veolia’s medical, dental, and/or vision plans on their last day of employment.
