Who is Eligible for Benefits?
Benefits Eligibility
- Employee Eligibility:
- Active and temporary (paid by Veolia)* employees scheduled to work 20+ hours per week
- Union employees (eligibility determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement)
- Eligible Dependents:
- Spouse or domestic partner**
- Children up to age 26, including:
- Biological children
- Stepchildren
- Domestic partner’s children
- Children under legal guardianship
- Disabled adult children of any age
- * Temporary employees, paid by Veolia (not contractors) eligible only for Medical and Basic Life Insurance (Veolia Cares)
- ** Requires completed Domestic Partner/Common Law Spouse Affidavit
Important Guidelines:
- Dual Coverage Restrictions:
- Employees cannot be covered as both employee and dependent
- When both parents work at VNA, only one may enroll shared dependents
- Dependent Verification:
- Dependent Coverage Terminates:
- Dependent children coverage ends last day of month of 26th birthday
- COBRA available for medical, dental, and vision
- Life insurance ends on 26th birthday (conversion available through MetLife)
Domestic Partner Guidelines:
- Must submit Affidavit of Domestic Partnership
- Relationship dissolution requires Affidavit of Termination
